Good things 2011 style

2011 was a very good year.

January brought more hikes along the Santa Margarita River

- one of my very favorite hikes - it is always beautiful there.

 February - was a new hiking discovery in Mission Trails Regional Park. 

 Can't wait to go back and hike some more.

February - was my mom coming to stay with us for a couple of weeks

- we loved having her here.

March - took me to Baltimore where I could spend a week with 3 of my most favorite people;

 Anthony, Jana and Zoe - plus lots of hugs from Zoe.

 April - took us to Utah to celebrate Aimee's graduation from BYU

- we are so proud of her accomplishments.

May - was a 30 year celebration of marriage to my handsome sweetheart.

May - was my first visit to San Juan Capistrano as part of our wedding anniversary celebration.

June - was a quick trip to Utah to wish Jenna and Isaiah well in their new life together,

which gave us the perfect excuse to spend time with Aimee and Nate.

June - was an amazing trek in the wilderness of southern California

was this great group of youth as their "ma" and "pa".

July - took us to southern Utah,

a 60+ person Garrett Family reunion,

 and celebrating 80 years of patriarch Gene Garrett's life

July - was just a day of fun hiking, fishing and picnicking with

Aimee, Nate and Aspen.

July - was a day hike into the Grand Canyon

which has inspired us for the full thing this coming spring when we hike all the way in.

August - ack, apparently we did not do anything in August but work and eat raspberries.

September - brought a Labor Day Weekend camping with

Aimee and Nate at Tabiona

 

 October - a week in Baltimore again but this time Craig could come.

It was worth every moment.

 October - gave us a week with Gene and Norine

in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park

What a beautiful place, I loved the fall colors.

November - took us to the bitter cold of Idaho for Thanksgiving.

Thankful I still think it is beautiful there.

December - brought a delightful Christmas celebration

watching Zoe express her delight with her Christmas gifts.

December - was several day trips with 8 of us in 1 van,

crazy and fun.

December - was FAMILY!!!

2011 was the best

2012 will be even better
