My last post was all about our
biking adventure on Favignana Island. Here you will see all the natural beauties of this island. We only saw one half of the butterfly (the island's shape.) I am quite sure we will have to visit again.

After our safe welcome, we were off on the bikes to Ponte Sotille Lighthouse

| The waters and tide pools by Ponte Sotille Lighthouse |
| Waves splashing on the rocks |
| A little greenery |
| Flowers were few but beautiful |
Biking along the sea we stopped at this pretty little cove to reflect in the clear waters.
| Hard to believe this is sea water |
| More simple wildflowers |
I can't pass flowers without taking pictures, I think I inherited this from my mom.
| Poppies and olive trees |
| Turquoise sea looking back toward Trapani on the island of Sicily |
| My, oh my! |
| A lovely little path from the sea to the road |
Favignana certainly feels and looks different than Palermo with it's open spaces and private homes instead of apartments. There were stone walls separating the land, I wondered if the rocks were moved to build the fences while clearing the land? Hmmm....
| These stone walls were everywhere between the homes |
Back in town, the homes were closer together but still had a sweet charm about them. It seemed most also had a bicycle in front of them. I am guessing the preferred way to get about.
| What a charming front wall |
| Our clash of bicycles |
There were plenty of boats in the harbor. Many were tiny one man boats it seemed. And I am guessing blue is the favorite color.
| These boats look only big enough for one person |
| The harbor is the curve of the butterfly body shape |
| Fishing boats, tuna fishing is plentiful |
What a charming island with all it's beauty both natural and man made. I can't wait to visit again.
