Southern Utah and Grand Canyon Natural Beauty

The Gene Garrett Family Reunion took us to Duck Creek, Utah.  Duck Creek is about 30 miles east of Cedar City, Utah and in my opinion made to provide a place for all the 4 wheelers and snowmobilers to ride.  We played games, ate lots of food and had lots of laughs, all 62 of us. But we also took time to explore. The next few images are some of God's handiwork captured by Craig and my camera. 

What happens to the trees?



Everywhere there was a new and different flower coming up from the ground.  Different colors and different shapes and sizes.  How can there be some many? what creativity, what divine planning. I loved it.



Budding Beauty

 Craig suggested a visit to the Grand Canyon.  We have been there several times before, but this time when we got there he said "how about we take a hike down into the Grand Canyon?"  I was thrilled I had never hiked down into the Canyon before.  We choose a trail to the "Awe Oh Point", it was suggested that it could take 1 to 2 hours round trip.  After about 20 minutes down and reaching the place of oohing and aahing, we knew we could handle a little bit more.  We traveled down another 20 minutes or so until we had probably gone down a mile into the Canyon.  It was one of the coolest things I have ever done in my life.  Craig said "thanks for indulging me" but little does he know how much it made me happy to be able physically to do this and emotionally see this.  All in all it took us about 2 hours round trip.  It left us with the plan to go to the bottom another time when we are more prepared with food, water, strength and time  - perhaps next spring.




The Grandest Canyon of all

 While driving along the road to the Grand Canyon, we saw these pretty little wildflowers growing along the side.  We wanted a photo of them and stopped quickly, lowed the camera down to the level of the flowers without looking in the view finder.  The flowers look pretty, but check out the background.  A true serendipity discovery with what our little camera captured.



Serendipity

 We explored Crystal Falls, Navajo Lake, Strawberry Lookout Point, Mammoth Cave, Cedar Breaks and The Grand Canyon.  This world was created under divine design by my Heavenly Father, I know it. It is the most amazing beauty ever.
