Beautiful Tabiona Treat with Aimee and Nate

I am pretty sure that the only thing Craig and I enjoy more than time with each other is time with our children and their family.  So when we were given a 3 day weekend, we did not hesitate to head to Utah to spend time with Aimee and Nate.  Together, we choose to go camping for part of  the weekend and Nate and Aimee took us to one of their favorite camping spots in Tabiona (northeast of Provo about 1 1/2 hours).  These pictures help a little bit for you to feel the beauty but being there will make all the difference.  We camped in a spot just off the road but down the ravine and felt very private and peaceful.

 Sometimes I am amazed at how beautiful and enriching this world is that our Heavenly Father has given us to enjoy.  He has given us many gifts and this is certainly one of them.

Shortly after arriving we found our spots for the tents and set them up.  It is much easier to have that taken care of so we can enjoy the evening with a little fishing, exploring the stream, a delicious campfire dinner, and great company.

This is actually probably our fish baking, but that night we cooked up some delicious chicken sausage made by Aimee and Nate.



The company, camping chairs do just the trick for a little resting and visiting.

We loved everything about our evening. We had quite the fire going with lots of downed trees and limbs to use in the awesome fire pit previously built by other campers.  It did get a little chilly once the sun went down so we were gratefully for the wood.  The sleeping was a little rough with the cold and I was glad I brought my warm pjs.  Ha ha!

Aimee and Nate's pup is really in his element camping.  He loves exploring but stays close enough to his "parents".  He enjoys watching Nate fish and chasing rocks and water balloons.  I was really impressed with his obedience to come when called, stay and sit when asked.  He was very pleasant to be with.

  What a blessed weekend!!! We were treated to such delicious food prepared by loving hands,  a most gorgeous surrounding with calm and peace. and time with Aimee and Nate.  The only thing that could have made it better with a few more days of the whole adventure.  We loved it all.
