Here it is the last day of February and I am sharing with you our sights and sounds, well mostly sights of January in Sicily and Palermo.
January took us from Fuggi (up near Rome) for the GANS Capodonno Event (New Year's Eve) to Sciacca in the southern part of Sicily as we traveled the island for missionary apartment inspections. Plus all over Palermo in the pursuit of interesting, historical, and beautiful Palermo.
If you want feel free to come along with us.
We enjoyed wandering around Fuggi and old town Fuggi during the Young Adult New Year's Eve Conference. Fuggi is known to have the best water source in Italy.

After a great weekend in Fuggi, we headed home and spent the night in Cosenza. Cosenza has this most amazing art museum all outside along the mall.

As part of our missionary service, we inspect missionary apartments and sometimes drive a couple of hours through Sicily to the apartment or to Catania for apartment supplies. This year Sicily received quite a bit of snow.

We also were blessed to attend Agrigento's branch conference where I met my newest friend.

Sciacca is in our Palermo Zone, it lies along the sea, and is know for its ceramics and ceramic stairways.

Palermo has so much to see. It is a city of 600,000 plus people. A lot of Palermo was rebuilt after WWII. Here you can see one of the most recent additions, the tram wires.

Palermo is located on the northwest side of Sicily and the Gulf of Palermo. We had fun with our Palermo Zone missionaries on p-days.

Luckily several of the historical sites of Palermo where not bombed during WWII. There are at least 7 World UNESCO sites in Palermo. We hope to see all of them.

One of the perks as a senior missionary couple we could see an opera or play here at Teatro Massimo. So far we have only taken a tour.

We love to walk all over the city.

| January is orange season and if there is fruit on the public streets you can pick them. Also the graffiti is pretty cool too. |
 |
| Love these colorful buildings. |
