My week with Zoe

After spending a wonderful week with Zoe, I learned several things about her, some I already knew because of the phone calls with her mom and dad and some were new.

She is always happy to pull things out of something, a Christmas stocking is perfect for that. Last year this stocking held her for a photo shoot.

She loves to dump or have things fall, her dump truck works well for that.

Although this toy is a riding/walking toy the best part will be the seat that opens to hide blocks, cars, small objects into and then pull them out again and again and again.

She definitely was aware that the Christmas presents were for her and that it was awful fun removing the wrapping paper.

She is very happy to have containers (musically drums) to pull all the instruments out of and really does know the toys are for HER.

She still checks out new toys by putting them in her mouth.

She is willing to give hugs to her grandpa even after just meeting him again after 4 months, especially if he gives her noisy toys.

She likes to read; books, menus, as long as it has pictures.

She is curious and wants to know what is going on around her world.

A dolphin show way below her still captures her attention and she is truly aware of what is happening around her. But it is safest in mommy's arms.

If someone (in this case Aunt Aimee) pushes her in her new riding toy she likes to play with it that way too.

First birthdays are the best because the bring chocolate cake for the first time and it is pretty delicious.

That she knows baby doll gifts are for her. It was wonderful to see her cuddle with her baby doll (after she was cleaned up).

She is very happy to talk to you and tell you what is going on in her mind.

That citrus fruit causes sores on her chin and she probably should not have them for a while but she finds them delicious to eat.

She likes slides and visits to Ikea are quite fun.

She loves to eat, she likes to have 3 goldfish crackers going at once - one in the mouth and each hand. She loves fruits and vegetables and yogurt. She is happy to try whatever food you are eating too.

That making noise with Grandpa is almost the funnest thing in the world.

She recognizes cameras and is willing to come for a photo shoot.

She still has beautiful blue eyes.

She is a very quick learner and figured out that the keys on her riding toy makes music so she is happy to push the keys often.

A trip to the park is a favorite outing, the swing is the best.

She loves to play peek a boo and will play it with practically anything that works.

The stray kitties that love outside their home are very entertaining to watch, Zoe has learned how to say "itties" now, but her mom is not so sure about her wanting to eat their cat food.

Her smile is the BEST in the world.

Swinging high with mom and dad elicits lots and lots of laughs.

It is okay for Grandma to carry her as long as there are lots of hops, skips and jumps in the walk.



Having a giggle fest with Zoe is practically the best moment in the world.

She really likes things that move.

Grandma does fun things with me and it makes us both happy.

But she still loves her mom best.

You can never have too many pictures of Zoe.

That I could watch her forever and I love her more and more.

That I need to figure out how soon I can go back.
